9/11 NZ and US Firefighters Commemoration

A Pipes and Drums parade down Federal Street, followed by a Powhiri, welcomed members of the Fire Department of New York and the New Zealand Fire Service.

200 NZ Fire Service Firefighters performed the Memorial Firefighter Stair Climb, 1103 steps up Sky Tower to honor 343 USA firefighters and 57 NZ firefighters lost in the line of duty. Chief Hayden, US Ambassador Scott Brown and Batallion Chief SanFilippo are pictured. Ambassador Brown also performed the Stairclimb.
